Pride is a time of year that we at The Collective are always excited to honour and celebrate.
Our diverse community is proud of its LGBTQ+ brothers and sisters – each of whom have their own story, and are some of the warm and colourful members of The Collective Old Oak.
As part of our Pride celebrations, we asked our members to take a moment to reflect on a powerful question:
What does Pride mean to you?
Here’s what they had to say:
‘Pride is a time for acceptance, true love, and self-expression.’
-Harriet, talented linguist
‘The freedom to be who you are!’
– Phoebe, literary genius
‘Pride has allowed me to connect with my most authentic self.’ – Kevin, entrepreneur extraordinaire
‘Pride is a time to defend our freedom, to defend who we are – and to be proud of it. If we’re too afraid to be who we are out in public, we might as well be back in the closet.’
– Matty, fantastic photographer
‘Pride celebrates families all over the world.’
– Devany, adventuress
‘To be Proud is to love.’
– Rosie, proud activist
