We collectivists love a good tune, so our spaces are often filled with music. From intimate open mic nights to roaming guest bands, DJ dance-offs to alternative choir performances, steel drumming workshops to Sofar sounds gigs and choir performances in the lobby… you name it, we’ve done it. As a big group we have a lot of varying tastes, but music has the power to unite people, and we think that’s pretty cool. So as the year comes to an end, we wanted to celebrate some of the songs, videos and acts that made us listen up and feel good – from radical young collectives making truly global beats (what’s up Superorganism), to videos that make you wanna hang with your friends (The 1975), to legends making straight up joyful jams (YES Chaka Khan). Hit play, turn it up, and throw a few shapes. Happy New Year!
